After 24 years in a number of technical capacities with
Girling, Norman Blakemore volunteered for early retirement at 50 years
of age. He formed his own company and is now able to provide a range of
motorcycle shocks specifically developed for pure competition
applications. He has taken specifications developed by Girling in the
'70s and '80s with the help of some very experienced riders of the
time, and updated them. With the help of current expert riders he has
been able to make adjustments for today's requirements. The result is a
range of shocks that provides performance at an affordable price, for
the majority of vintage machines in use today. Results have been
excellent, with success in all sports in the US and Europe, and we at
Speed & Sport are proud to enter our 14th year as exclusive US
distributor. |

MX Expert shocks have a 12mm shaft and are available in 11.9", 12.6", 13.0", 13.4", and 14.0" lengths. | The Trial Expert shock feature light, responsive damping characteristics, a strong 12mm shaft and single- or dual-rate springs. | The Clubman shock is designed to satisfy the less-serious trials rider. These inexpensive shocks are lightly damped and sprung, come in a 13.0" or 13.3" length and have an 11mm shaft with three inches of travel. A cam-type preload adjuster and twin springs allow the Clubman shocks to suit a wide range of bike weights. | NJB Road Racing shocks feature a special Girling specification, and are now available to fit most vintage machines. To compensate for the wide variety of machine weights and suspension geometry, two variations of damping characteristics have been developed. Racing shocks come in a full range of lengths with either single springs or dual-rate springs. | |||
